This essential organization has been a cornerstone of support for the community, providing food, clothing, utility assistance, assistance for emergency prescription medication, and other essential services to North Texans in need for nearly 35 years. Since its inception, WARM has operated out of an old Church of Christ building which is currently on a 100-year lease from Wise County. To maximize the useful life of their aging facility, the Board and staff have made minor improvements and repairs to that building over the years. However, the Board has recently determined that building obsolescence and safety concerns as well as rapid area population growth have led them to the conclusion that a completely new food pantry building is needed. As of Feb 2024, the WARM Board has hired an architectural firm to design a brand new 4,500sf facility to be constructed at an approximate cost of $1,350,000. Walking for Wise seeks to raise the funds to cover the construction costs for this incredibly important foundational organization
